That sounds like a great subject and easy to do. I would do a story of the travels of an electronic item, be it a computer, printer, etc. from your home to an e-waste recycler. You could probably have no problem getting access to the processing plant and film where the items are broken down and separated based on components, etc. Our local schools do e-waste drives and we drop off stuff with them. Then the waste gets trucked off to the recycler. You could describe and show what is good about the recycling of electronics and what happens when we don’t and how it ends up in the land fill creating environmental concerns. By showing the viewer (public) where and how their discarded electronic goes or doesn’t go, will create positive awareness.
