What do you know about e-waste? (especially in the Philippines setting.)?

Where do you dump your e-waste or what do you do with your e-waste? Why do you do that?

(I won’t define "e-waste" or give hints on what it means to test the "popularity" of or our "familiarity" with the term.) Thanks!

When I upgraded, the e-waste was donated to my nephew. He likes to tinker with things.

It gets dumped along with regular garbage. It is unfortunate that in my city, we do not have a recycling plant for electronic wastes especially batteries (car, cellphone, laptop, etc…). These batteries have dangerous chemicals that can seep through the ground and poison our water resources. SM City in my place has a monthly E-waste market but they do not accept these batteries. ABS CBN company has initiated moves to establish recycling stations but it is limited only within Metro Manila. This should be done nationwide.
